Pioneers in Mexico in the manufacture of containers with PET resin, Polyethylene and Polypropylene.

We are constantly renewing and investing in high-end machinery to offer the best quality products.

1985

Worried about the high cost and shortage of glass containers, aluminum cans, and tetrapack in the beverage industry, a group of investors decided to search for modern alternatives to tackle this challenge.

This is how, on August 20, 1985, Ediplast SA de CV was born to produce containers made out of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) resin, with an initial focus on the alcoholic beverage industry.
With an 8 cavity machine and a 1,500 m2 industrial plant, we started to supply our containers to this new market.

The great success of this innovation pushed us to grow in size and new technologies, so we decided to move our production plant to Toluca, State of Mexico, on an 18,000 m2 space.

Later, we made the decision to dabble in the carbonated and purified water market, investing in extremely high productivity machinery of up to 72 cavities.

Due to the high demand of markets like cleaning products, food, confectionery, personal care, solvents, and some others, we decided to invest again. This time, in machinery for containers as well as caps for these specific markets.

2013

With a constant need for growth and already limited in space, in 2013 we searched for a new location where we could cover our clients’ needs and expectations.

We built the most modern production plant in Mexico (built to suit ad hoc) in a surface of 60,000 m2, designed specifically for the production and storage of our containers.

Also, due to the market’s need to have more modern and ecological containers for the food industry sector, we invested in machinery for the production of thin-walled containers.

2015

In 2015, Ediplast moved to its new production plant in Lerma, State of Mexico. To date, we keep investing in machinery with cutting edge technology to continue delivering the highest quality products and maintaining the level of productivity that our clients’ projects require.

2021

Thanks to our strong presence in national markets, in December 2021, Pretium Packaging – an international company specializing in packaging for all types of industries – acquires the company, adding us to its group with more than 30 plants worldwide.
